This Privacy Notice explains how One&Oh Beauty Inc., doing business as Strides Beauty ("Strides Beauty," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses information about you. It applies to our website at www.stridesbeauty.com, our mobile applications (if any), and any other online or offline offerings that link to, or are otherwise subject to, this Privacy Notice (collectively, the "Services"), as well as when you contact our customer service team, engage with us on social media, attend one of our events, or otherwise interact with us.

We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes, we'll provide additional notice (such as a banner on our site or an email).
1. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Personal Information You Provide Directly to Us
We collect personal information directly from you, including when you create an account, submit a product review, make a purchase, communicate with us via email, chat, or social media, participate in an event, or request customer support. This may include your name, email address, birth month and day, mailing address, phone number, photos, product or shade preferences, age range, review content, social handles, and anything else you choose to share. We may also collect information you provide about someone else — for instance, if you send a gift to a friend.
If you make a purchase, we work with third-party payment processors to collect and process your payment information; we don't directly store your full card number.
Personal Information We Collect Automatically
Transactional information — details of your purchases, such as products bought, price, and the date and location of the transaction.
Device and usage information — your device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, browser type, language settings, items placed in your cart, pages viewed, links clicked, and the page you came from.
Cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies — used by us and our service providers to understand browsing behavior, measure engagement, and improve the Services. See "Analytics and Cookies" below.
Information We Collect from Other Sources
We may receive information about you from fulfillment or shipping partners, social networks, identity-verification services, and analytics providers.
Information We Derive or Infer
We may infer things about you based on other information we collect — for example, an approximate location from your IP address, or an interest in certain products based on your browsing and purchase history.
2. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use personal information to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
Process transactions and send related information, such as confirmations, receipts, and order updates;
Personalize and improve your experience with us;
Host and promote events;
Send technical notices, security alerts, and administrative messages;
Respond to your questions and provide customer service;
Communicate with you — including by email and text — about products, events, and promotions (see "Your Privacy Rights and Choices" for how to opt out);
Monitor trends, understand your shopping preferences, and improve the shopping experience;
Run contests, sweepstakes, and other promotions;
Identify and fix errors that affect the Services;
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, and other malicious or illegal activity; and
Comply with our legal and financial obligations.
3. DISCLOSURES OF INFORMATION
We disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
Service providers — vendors who help us with web hosting, shipping, payment processing, fraud prevention, customer service, and analytics used to run and improve our own site. If we use Shopify, this includes Shopify's own processing of your information as our e-commerce platform — see Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy for details.
Public disclosures — content you choose to share publicly, such as a product review or event photo.
Legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, respond to legal process, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Strides Beauty or others.
Professional advisors — our legal, financial, and insurance advisors, where necessary.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of company assets.
Affiliates — our current and future parent companies, affiliates, and subsidiaries.
With your consent — whenever you direct us to share your information.
We may also disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
4. ANALYTICS AND COOKIES
We use cookies and similar technologies on our own site to understand how visitors use the Services — such as pages viewed, time spent, and what content is popular — so we can improve the shopping experience.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings; note that blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Services work.
5. DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Notice, taking into account legal requirements, the nature and sensitivity of the information, and whether we can achieve our purposes through other means.
6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Access, Correction, and Deletion
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access or receive a portable copy of your personal information, request its deletion, or request correction of inaccurate information. You can make these requests by emailing aisha@stridesbeauty.com. If we deny a request, you may appeal by contacting the same address; if you're not satisfied with the outcome, you may be able to contact your state's attorney general.
Nondiscrimination. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Account Information. You can view, update, or correct much of your account information by logging in, or by emailing aisha@stridesbeauty.com.
Cookies. You can adjust your browser settings to block or remove cookies, though doing so may affect how the Services function.
Marketing Communications. Opt out of promotional emails or texts by following the instructions in those messages. You may still receive non-promotional messages, like order or account notices.
7. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
Strides Beauty is based in the United States. If you're located outside the U.S. and use our Services or make a purchase, your personal information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and possibly other countries, which may not offer the same level of data protection as your home country. We take steps to ensure personal information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it's processed.
8. CANADIAN RESIDENTS
If you're a Canadian resident, this section applies to you.
Consent. By submitting personal information to us, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure as described in this Notice and as permitted by law. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at aisha@stridesbeauty.com, though this may limit our ability to provide certain products or services to you.
Access and Correction. We'll take reasonable steps to keep your personal information accurate and up to date. On written request, and subject to legal exceptions, we'll tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you access to it; we may charge a reasonable fee for this. If you believe your information is inaccurate or incomplete, contact us and we'll take reasonable steps to correct it, which may require you to verify your identity.
9. EUROPEAN RESIDENTS (EU/UK GDPR)
If you're located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, this section applies to you.
Legal Basis for Processing. We process your personal data based on: our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business; performance of our contract with you; compliance with legal obligations; and, where applicable, your consent (which you can withdraw at any time).
Processing Outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. As a U.S. company, we process personal data in the United States, and our service providers may be located in countries whose privacy laws differ from your own. Where required, we use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data Subject Requests. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, receive it in a portable format, and object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at aisha@stridesbeauty.com to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURES FOR INDIVIDUALS IN CALIFORNIA
Since you're based in California, keep this section — and treat the details below as things to actually verify against your real vendors and practices, not boilerplate, since the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) makes an inaccurate notice its own violation. Because you don't run ads or collect sensitive personal information, this version leaves out the sale/sharing and sensitive-PI disclosures that wouldn't apply to you — if either changes down the road, those pieces will need to be added back in.
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), requires us to describe our practices using certain defined categories, set out below.

We collect this information for the business purposes described in "Use of Personal Information" above. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Retention. We retain each category of personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Notice — generally, for the length of your customer relationship with us plus the period needed to meet our legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. We don't retain personal information longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for.
We do not sell or share personal information (as those terms are defined by the CCPA) and do not run targeted or interest-based advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of on that front.
Your California Privacy Rights. You have the right to:
Know/Access — what personal information we've collected, used, and disclosed about you, and to receive a portable copy;
Delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions;
Correct inaccurate personal information; and
Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To submit a Right to Know, Delete, or Correct request, email us at aisha@stridesbeauty.com. We'll need to verify your identity — typically by matching the information you provide (such as your name and email or order number) against what we have on file — before completing the request. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our denial, and if you're not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact the California Attorney General.
Authorized Agents. If someone submits a request on your behalf, we'll ask for proof of authorization (such as a signed permission form) and may still need to verify your identity directly. Please don't include sensitive documents like a government ID in a request.
Shine the Light. Separately from the CCPA, California's "Shine the Light" law lets California residents ask, once a year and free of charge, whether we've shared personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, and who those third parties are. To make this request, email aisha@stridesbeauty.com with "Shine the Light Request" in the subject line.
Notice of Financial Incentives. We may offer a discount or other benefit to customers who sign up for our marketing emails or texts. Participating means we collect identifiers (like your email) and, over time, commercial information (like your purchase history). You can opt in by signing up, and opt out at any time by contacting aisha@stridesbeauty.com. The value of your information is reasonably related to the value of the discount offered.
11. CHILDREN'S PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Services are not directed to children under 18 (or the applicable age of majority where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below.
